Today is Sept 21 and it is the United Nations "International Day of Peace" observed all over the world. Please see this link for more details:

 

 

As we decided at the last IRO Council meeting all IRO council members and friends will observe the International Day of Peace at 12:00PM today.

 

I seek your kind cooperation in this excercise as follows:

 

(1) Please inform by e-mail or sms all the council members in your faith about this to of this excercise in case they did not open their e-mail

 

(2) Invite as many of your other friends to participate

 

(3) Set you handphone or clock alarm for 11:59AM so you will be automatically reminded al least one minute in advance. tell your friends to do the same.

 

(4) At exactly 12:00PM (noon) today whereever you are please say a short (or long) prayer or observe one minute of silence for world peace. As a suggestion you may say a silent prayer, recite the IRO invocation or repeat the words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" for at least one minute. You may also say any prayer for peace of your faith.

 

(5) I would greatly appreciate it if members could sen me an e-mail or sms after the observance of the International Day of Peace

 

(6) I will make a Report at the next IRO Council meeting

 

We at iRO do not underestimate the power of prayer. Let us continue to work together towards a better world with peace, friendship and progress.
